Trauma Timeline

Today in Western countries, trauma victims are not male soldiers, but primarily civilians with non-wartime wounds secondary to both penetrating (gunshots, knives) and blunt mechanisms (motor vehicle collisions). The sex of the victims of trauma; however, continues to be predominantly male.
