Biological Differences in Trauma

So far in this module, we have discussed the injury model and some reasons based on a social context, why males are the principal victims of trauma. From a gender perspective, it is also important to consider any biological or sex based reasons for variations in disease patterns and in the field of traumatology, there may also be biological differences that relate to outcomes after trauma.
