Exposure to injury is not the only way in which the experience of paid work differs for men and women. Consider the following information from the Manitoba division of UNPAC, the United Nations Platform for Action Committee.[9]
In Canada, men outnumber women in every one of the ten highest paid jobs.
In every one of these jobs, men earn more than women.
Women outnumber men in all but one (service station attendants) of the 10 lowest paying jobs in Canada.
In all ten of these occupations, men are paid more than women.
