• Are male medical students expected to be less emotionally affected by clinical encounters ?

• Are female medical students expected to be more caring and assume caring roles when interacting with patients ?

• Are male and female sexual function and anatomy covered equally ?

• Are female  and male students equally exposed to learning how to perform testicular and pelvic examinations ?

• Are there unspoken attitudes or messages about women entering certain competitive specialities ?

• Is parental leave for male and female students and residents encouraged and accepted ?

• Are females counselled to enter a speciality that would allow them to take time off to raise a family ?

• Are direct or implied sexual comments made to students by supervisors during training ?

• Are students informed of available avenues to utilize if an incident of harassment occurs during their education ?
