Many women experience stress as they take responsibility for work outside the house as well as work inside the house (tasks, care for children, care for elderly), which is often valued less. They experience more demands from others, and less privacy, and due to volume of work, experience burn-out and risk developing mental health problems[9]. Employment can be beneficial for both sexes, but for women, the benefit is reduced if they are overworked in the presence of many roles[3].
