4 weeks later> She says she is sleeping much better now, and her appetite is not as great -- she no longer craves the junk food. She has talked to her partner, and they have agreed to delay any pregnancy until next year, when MC is hopefully feeling better. He has been surprisingly supportive, and has been helping cook dinners more often. She feels she is eating better, and is going for daily walks. You maintain the fluoxetine as she is tolerating the medication and has noticed a positive response.

8 weeks later> She says she feels much better, and that she finally had the chance to try using the women’s resource centre. She spoke to other women and found it empowering, and has since made more effort to contact friends and resume activities. She says she almost feels back to normal -- she’s even lost 5 pounds and feels proud of that. After an appropriate course of treatment (9-12 months), she is off medication, and resuming her normal life in what she feels is a much more positive way.
